innocent people killed in HW85

Description:
ILLEGAL OPERATION REPORT
Two main transportation companies, umbrella by automaker giant HYUNDAI-KIA whom are politically favored by the states of Georgia and Alabama, have been operating business illegally without any consideration of dangers to civilians and even to their own drivers. People’s lives are in stake here and sadly single mom of 1 year old have already paid its price; more lives can be in jeopardy if nothing is done to stop these companies. I personally recommend these companies to be shutdown immediately.
I have listed few accidents caused by these trucking companies. I recommend few cases to be reopened for investigation. These companies are known to produce false documentations to cover up the truth. Their main vendors, HYUNDAI and KIA believe to be politically involved with local governments and other authorities to provide aid for these companies during contingencies. Direct Intermodal has benefited from it during the most recent accident which the case had mysteriously ended.

FATALITY
1 (single mom of 1 yr old son)
INJURY
2 (minor cuts and bruises)
RESULT
Highway shutdown (3 hours); Mazda sedan (totaled), 1 tractor trailer (totaled), 1 Ford F550 (damaged)
CONCLUSION: Catastrophic accident could have been preventable if the driver was in alert status; however, lack of responsiveness due to fatigue was probability the cause of the accident followed by an extensive hours of driving which exceeds DOT regulation. Unfortunately, single mom who was killed immediately from the impact has been wrongly accused of the accident and the driver of 18 wheeler was release without penalty. DOT and homicide teams were present at the accident site however they were mislead by driver’s 2nd log book used to replace actual log book in attempt to undisclosed illegal trucking operation. Driver had just completed a full around trip from Atlanta to Mississippi (14 hrs); then immediately sent to Luverne AL without any rest (total: 20 hrs) has lead to this accident. *FYI, Douglas Amaya made a fuel purchase during the trip back from Mississippi (between hours of 11pm- midnight) at which will provide possible evidence to expose the illegal falsification of driver’s log book and company’s daily documentations. Direct Intermodal continuously insists their drivers to falsify the log book in order to conceal any potential damage to the company.

Road Shutdown during commuting hours; truck operated by Direct Intermodal overturned while turning and collided with another truck operated by JB Hunt. No DOT was present on site
CONCLUSION: Driver (Peter Lam) was driving too fast while turning left onto C.H. Robinson which caused his tractor trailer to turn over. This accident could have been preventable but driver's lack of judgment and awareness due to fatigue was the probable cause of an accident. Driver had just pulled out a container from the Atlanta rail station for delivery destination to Opelika AL. He was already on his 14th hour of driving just before the accident; and upon completion of his last delivery would have been totaled 18 hours of driving which it exceeds DOT regulation. Several commuters were able to reacted fast enough to escape from being crushed between falling tractor trailer according to the witnesses. As usual, all documentations were modified by Direct Intermodal to falsify hours of driving for Peter Lam and terminated him to completely conceal the truth.

FATALITY
none
RESULT
Road Shutdown during commuting hours; truck operated by Direct Intermodal overturned. Driver was hurt and immediately sent to the emergency room. No DOT was present on site
CONCLUSION: Driver (Eric Jumbo) was pressured by the company to complete his delivery to move on to his next delivery. He was on his 10th hour, returning to Atlanta rail from Burkeville, AL. According to the driver, he was immediately pressured when he was demanded by his dispatcher to hurry back from his delivery to jump on a "hot" shipment. Fear of losing his job and being not favored by his dispatcher had triggered the driver to state of anxiety which ultimately cloud his judgments. For the record, company had regularly taken advantage of this driver because of deficient in English skills and lack of knowledge in DOT's rules and regulations.

Direct Intermodal will claim that they lost ALL last year's data due to the (lightning, burglary, flood, fire or etc.) -Part of diversion method-
Between Sept 09-Oct 09: Direct targets every Sunday to be safest day in a week to order drivers to exceed their hours (less likely to get caught by DOT). Its main delivery destination is Glovis America in Montgomery AL (HYUNDAI MOTORS).
Direct Intermodal has already created a backup company called Puma Express in case of Direct Intermodal fall short from DOT inspection

Lottery Gone Bad
- From: KevinA
-
Description:
Lottery staff gets bigger bonuses
More than 200,000 teachers and state employees are being furloughed and seeing smaller paychecks this year, but the Georgia Lottery did well enough to hand out $2.75 million in bonuses to its staffers.
That’s up more than 8 percent from fiscal 2008, according to figures the Lottery Corp. provided to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Lottery CEO Margaret DeFrancisco received a $204,034 bonus, up from $150,000 in 2008. That’s on top of a $286,000 salary, which was unchanged from 2008.
Lottery officials say the bonuses, which they call incentive payments, are commonly used in private industry to help retain top staffers.
The idea of the lottery was to buy books for schools and provide scholarships to students. The big business mentality of a red state. Give me a break. Meanwhile GA leads the nation in failed banks. Yep the government has to buy them out.

A Few Quick Hits

Description:
This Weekend
Last weekend we saw highs of 69 Sat. and 74 Sunday. For the first weekend in November those temps are just awesome, and it came during an unbelievable stretch of weather last week. Well, Ida provided a break from the nice weather and brought flooding to the area (more on that coming up). Now, the nice weather is setting back up. We hit 72 yesterday, and will do a couple degrees better than that today. Slightly warmer tomorrow. We keep talking about it, but it's worth noting: This is the October weather we missed last month with all the rain and cooler temps. Yes, the colder air will be here by late month or into next month, but not within the next 10 days or so. Enjoy it while it's here.
Wrapping Ida
There were two scenarios that we were looking at last weekend for Ida. One would have a cold front sweep through early Tuesday, picking up the storm and pushing it northeast quickly, leaving us with maybe 1-2" at most, some spots seeing less than that. The other, which played out, would have the front hold off for a day before sweeping everything out. That started around 1am or so Wednesday morning. By that point, though, we had picked up a solid 3-5" around the area (impressive that that was the rainfall mentioned in the flood watch by the weather service as early as Sunday evening. It played out just like that, so a big shout out to the weather service.) We saw several rivers go into minor and moderate flood stage, but a far cry from what we saw in September. The good news for North GA - the worst of the storm happened well to our east through parts of the Carolinas and up the Mid-Atlantic, leading to 6 fatalaties and close to a foot of rain in spots along the Atlantic Coast. The good news for us here is that even though we had 3-5" of rain, it happened very slowly over a longer period of time. This allowed most of the rain to soak into the ground before running off, helping to lower the flash flooding and river flooding threat.
The Next Rain
Our next chance of rain may not roll in until late week. A very slow moving system looked to be rolling in by mid-week when Ken and I looked at everything yesterday. But this morning I'm not sold yet, so I really think the chance of rain won't work in until Friday. So, 2 pieces of good news. After all the rain on Tuesday, we'll have at least 6 more days to dry out. Secondly, the rain that we'll see should be very light as the system should be falling apart and pulling north as it works it. We'll see how it plays out. Have a good weekend.

It has been said that there are two sides to a story. So why in the case of Jarvis Weems that is not the situation? We all know that Jarvis is not here to tell his side of the story. However, his family has been trying to tell theirs. No one cares or wants to listen. Yet multiple news papers and television shows have let Monica tell her side of the story. All the family asks is the same courtesy. For those of you who care the following are facts that surround the situation.
· Jarvis was left handed shot in the Back of the right side of his head. (at an angle that was going inward)
· Jarvis was shot with a 380 (Monica owned a 380) the gun Jarvis had in his car was a 9mm
· Monica admitted she shot out the window on the right side of the car.
· Autopsy reports say that Jarvis had scratches on his chest and legs as if he had scuffled.
· No gun powder residue was found on either of Jarvis’ hands
· When the family tried to get answers from detectives they found that (3 months after the death) none of the detectives on the case were still with the department.
· Monica was seen with Jarvis and C-murder (who she was then engaged to) arguing at cemetery.
· Monica called Jarvis’ mom twice (not mentioning what was going on) before she called to say he was dead
· Jarvis’ mom lived only 5minutes from the gravesite. How did Monica’s mom who lived in Riverdale, GA along with other members of Monica’s family arrive before his mom.

We are in the Atlanta Moving business so we watch this data closly as it is usually a good forcast of things to come (if people are buyig homes they will move shortly). Have you Atlanta realtors seen the uptick in purchases to minic the reported data or was the avg home buying number due to increases in activity in other parts of the country?

Auburn Road Dacula Great Clips
- From: cbt1024
-
Description:
Hey Everyone, just thaught I would share with everyone something that really ticks me off. I went into the Great Clips at Auburn Road in Dacula Ga to get a haircut last week and so I did but I left behind my expensive thirty dollar American Eagle Hat. Well my grandmother passed away so I had to deal with all of that so it was like two days before I went back in to get it back. So, I went back to the location and spoke with the actual stylist that cut my hair and was told she put it in the office so that it would not get lost or stolen but she couldnt find it. I left my name and number with the description of the hat and was told they would call me back. Well I waited for a couple of days with no phone call, so I called the location and spoke with one of the stylists there and was told they didnt have my hat at their store that one of their employees liked the hat so she wore it home. I explained it was my hat and not her property and I wanted it back, that she had no right to take my hat and I left my name and number again for the manager to call me back or the owner. Well, guess what? A couple more days go by and no phone calls, nothing. Well I emailed the Great Clips Corporate office and told them my story and I got a reply back from their customer service saying they are sorry that is happened but the location I went to was independently owned. They stated they would contact the owner of the store and do their best to get my hat back. Well later that night I received a phone call from the store, not sure of whom I spoke to because she was reluctant to give me her name. I was told that indeed one of the employees did take my hat home by mistake. Um, its a hat, how do you just take something home like that by mistake. Its personal property and should not even be worn or touched by an employee but to just keep it safe. I stated to the lady I was speaking to that the hat was expensive and I wanted it back. She told me that the person that took it was on leave and she had a hard time getting in touch with her but she would be back on October 16th and I would have to wait til then to get my hat back. I was furious, why do I have to wait to get something that is my personal property and was stolen by one of their employees. Am I the only one that doesnt see this as right? The lady didnt even mention taking any type of action against the employee taking my hat or did she even apologize to me. I just want my hat and I'm tired of waiting, so if anyone has any ideas on what I can do to get my property back I would appreciate it. I also caution you when going into these locations about leaving your property. I just want my hat back, some type of disciplinary action to happen because its just wrong to steal from trusting customers, & an apology from the store. Thanks everyone for listening and if you got any comments or words that could help please let me know. Below is a copy of the response from Great Clips Customer Service.
