      SIDDHIS

Siddhis are psychic powers such as knowledge of future events, understanding the language of birds or animals, spirit medium ship, clairvoyance, astral travel, telekinesis, reading of tarot, making oneself invisible or tiny as an atom (anima), and its opposite (mahima) and many more! Acquired powers are to some extent due to a cultivation of generally available techniques and to some extent to development of an aptitude for spontaneous power that was inherent but not powerful enough to manifest without training. It is enough to say that they are not approved of by true masters. In order to seek them, a man's mind must be directed towards them, not towards spiritual liberation. Those who have attained all these eight super powers are called as Siddhar. During ancient days many Siddhars lived in this universe. But in today’s modern world there are only a few in India. That too in western countries, there is only one Siddhar. He is Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam).

For many years Sri Lalitha Devi has revealed that, she is the Supreme Goddess in the Sahasrara, and that Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar is her incarnation on Earth. The siddhis that enable my three children to visit him in the Sahasrara were initiated by him. None of my children desired anything. How can mere children mediate on Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar and are met by him in their Sahasraras? How did a three-year-old kid or five-year-old kid acquire such powers? Whatever they told me about the Shakti in the Sahasrara is the basis of Siddhar. Without these siddhis there is absolutely no way to provide evidence that Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam) is the incarnation of the Great Goddess.

So how do siddhis advance the Devi? I quote the following from Devi Bhagavata

"In the first enclosure of Srichakra, we encounter a kind of protective wall, three layers thick. At the first layer of the wall, we paid obeisance to the ten Siddhis, or occult powers, that can tempt us in the early stages of our sadhana. The temptation is to use these powers for our own gain, for personal victory or revenge upon another. When we do so, however, the siddhis become snares, entangling us ever more deeply in our own self regard.

But when we realize that the Siddhis come to us only to the extent that we become Devi, which we realize they are actually her powers manifesting through us, and that we are Her too -- Her local ears, eyes and arms -- then the Siddhis cease to become snares, and instead beome helpful friends and guides, directing us more deeply into Srichakra."

So www.sriselvamsiddhar.org  proves that we are the Devi and her powers are manifesting through us. Even though Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam) was not so fluent in Hindi twenty years back he used to chant the following lines continuously. Who heard him when he sang this song repeatedly?

O ek suki yaha lakoh mein.

Oh, only one in a hundred thousand is in bliss.

      Ansoo hai croroh ankhoh mein.

There are tears in tens of millions of eyes.

Hum neh gin gin har takdir dekhi.

I have counted and seen every fate for years,

Ek hasta hai dush rote hai

Only one laughs while ten are in tears.

Kuch bhol Prabhu yeh kya Maya

O! Speak Almighty God what is this Illusion,

Tera khel samaj meh nah aya

Your Divine Play is all confusion and delusion.

      1. Ashtadravya Atharva GANPATHY HOMAM

Ganesha is also one of the five Gods, the worship of whom was popularized by Adi Shankaracharya; the other four are Vishnu, Shiva, Devi and Surya. The worship of these five deities is called the pancayatana Pooja. The large head of an elephant symbolizes wisdom, understanding, and a discriminating intellect that one must possess to attain perfection in life. The wide mouth represents the natural human desire to enjoy life in the world. The large ears signify that a perfect person is the one who possesses a great capacity to listen to others and assimilate ideas. The trunk relates to the power of human mind which must be strong enough to face the ups and downs of the external world and yet delicate enough to explore the subtle realms of the inner world. Ashtadravya means eight things, which are Coconuts, Molasses, Sesame seeds, Sugar cane, Lemon, Rice flakes and rice used in the Ganapathy Homam and is to appease Lord Ganesha and bless you with Wealth, Prosperity and Long Life.

      Atharva Veda Nakshatra Devatha Pooja

It is conducted once a year for one person and one should perform Nakshtra Pooja once every year for the betterment of ones Life. The time frame will vary from person to person. The time frame will be even in the gap of once in 27 days.

      Mata Atharva Durga Pooja

This Pooja is the most beneficial for the protection from direct enemies, hidden enemies and to find the best life partner.

Atharva Durga, in Sanskrit means "She who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach." Goddess Matha Durga is a form of Shakti worshiped for her gracious as well as terrifying aspect. Mother of the Universe, she represents the infinite power of the universe and is a symbol of a female dynamism. The manifestation of Goddess Durga is said to emerge from her formless essence and the two are inseparable.

Matha Durga is also called by many other names, such as Parvati, Ambika, and Kali. In the form of Parvati, She is known as the divine spouse of Lord Shiva and is the mother of her two sons, Ganesha and Karthikeya. As the destroyer of demons, Matha Durga is worshiped during an annual festival called Durga Pooja, especially popular among Bengalis.

There are endless aspects of Durga described in the Puranas and Agamas and the iconography is consequently very varied. Matha Durga is usually pictured as having ten arms holding Sword, Conch, Discus, Rosary, Bell, Wine cup, Shield, Bow, Arrow, and Spear. Matha Durga is most often shown riding a lion from which comes her dignified name, Simhavahini, "She who stands astride the king of beasts". She is gorgeously dressed in royal red cloth and has several ornaments decorating her personage. Her hair is dressed up in a crown which then flows out in long luxuriant tresses that are darkly luminous and soothing to the eye. The various tools reflect the eminent supremacy that helps in controlling the universe and obey her will.

Goddess Durga exists eternally, always abiding in her own sweet nature and inhibits the hearts and minds of her ecstatic devotees. As Shakti power, she shapes, nurtures, and dissolves names and forms, while as subtle spiritual energy called Kundalini, She lights the lotuses of the seven centers of awareness in the sacred human body. Goddess Durga killed the powerful demon Mahisha and all his great commanders. When demonic forces create imbalance all god unite becoming one divine force called Shakti or Durga.

The next is Ugra Shiva Pooja.

The most fearsome pose of Lord Shiva is called as Kala Bhairava. This Pooja is the most beneficial for Physical attack, enemy fear, personality development and the effects of evil eyes. This Pooja is strictly to be done by the punditjis those who are well versed in Atharva Veda and as per the directions given by Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam). It is always very dangerous to perform these kinds of Atharva Veda rituals without the proper guidance and initiation from Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam)

Lord Bhairav is the most fearsome form of Shiva. According to Atharva Veda he is called as Ugra Shiva. In the contemporary times, Bhairav has been worshipped by millions of people to get the powerful blessings from the god. It is believed that Bhairav is connected to the Southern face and relates to the Mahavidya goddess named Bhairavi who gives Lagna suddhi (purification of the Disciple). This Ugra Shiva Pooja purifies and protects the body, self concept, personality, and other attributes associated with the Disciple. Ugra Shiva is worshipped when there are malefic planets in the birth lagna or when natural malefic planets are transiting. Ugra Shiva removes and protects person from these types of effects. As per the Indian astrology, Raaghu and Kethu are known as shadow planets, which play an important role in the life of a creature. The astrologers often suggest people, the worship of Lord Ugra Shiva to reduce the evils caused by the malefic position of Raaghu in the horoscope. Worship of Lord Ugra Shiva is very useful to win over the enemies, to get success and all materialistic comforts.

    • Description:

Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam) casts one’s horoscope according to the standards of Atharva Veda. After analyzing the severity of the problems he advices the rituals of Atharva Veda Yaksha/Yakshini and Ugra devathas. According to Atharva Veda the great goddess Sri.Durgamatha has taken nine different forms to solve different kinds of problems. The days, time and the number of chanting will vary from person to person according to the planets’ position in their horoscope. First we will see about the nine various forms of Sri.Durga Matha. According to the Atharva Vedic scriptures the following are the Atharva Veda Yakshinis called as Durga Yakshinis. They are also called as Nava Durga. The rituals for this group of Yakshinis are called as Atharva Veda Nava Durga Yakshini Maha Pooja.

The first Yakshini of this group is Matha Shailaputri Yakshini.

The first of Goddess Maa Durga’s divine forms, amongst the nine, is Matha Shailaputri. She was classified as Shailaputri after being born in the house of the king of the mountains, Himalaya. In this mold the mother is seen holding a trident in her right hand and a lotus in her left and she is mounted on an ox. In the past life she was the daughter of Daksha, the son of Lord Brahma. She was known as Sati then. As the daughter of Daksha she was married to the God of Gods, Mahadeva (Lord Shiva). Daksha once arranged for a ceremony of the holy fire (Yagna), and chose not to invite his daughter and son-in-law. Sati was restless to join the ceremony at her father’s place and even defied her husband’s advice of not attending the Yagna without an invitation. On going uninvited to the ceremony, she felt that everyone was giving her a cold shoulder except her mother who greeted her with a hug. Her siblings too were no exception and were sarcastic in their remarks. The guests too present in the function were uttering disrespectful comments about her husband. To her surprise her father too was harsh and rude in his approach. She was dejected and was so heart broken that she burnt herself to ash in the holy fire. Shiva, on hearing this incident was enraged and ordered his followers to immediately demolish the Daksha Yagna. After burning herself to death, Sati was reborn as the daughter of the king of the mountains, Himalaya and became known as Shailaputri. Thus amongst all the nine forms of Devi Durga, Matha Shailaputri is the most powerful and glorified of all. Matha Shailaputri is also worshiped in the first day of the Navratri celebrations. . 2nd Yakshini of this group is Matha Brahmacharini

Durga’s second appearance is in the form of Matha Brahmacharini. Here "Brahma" means meditation. That is, the Goddess is the meditator or a practitioner of penance. Matha Brahmacharini is seen here holding a string of rosary beads in her right hand and a Kamandalu (an urn containing holy water) in her left hand. In her previous life, when she was reborn as the daughter of Himalaya, she performed severe penance to have Mahadeva (Lord Shiva) as her husband. The sage Narada advised her to take up meditation to win Lord Shiva. For undergoing strict meditation she was known as Brahmacharini or Tapasyacharini. Ignoring the beating sun and thundershowers, she began a three hundred year meditation living only leaves that fell on the forest floor. She furthered her penance making it even stricter by relinquishing food and water for another few hundred years. As Matha Brahmacharini gave up eating leaves Matha Brahmacharini is also referred to as "Aparna". Practicing this painstaking contemplation she became weak and skinny. Unable to withstand the plight of her daughter her mother, Manoka requested her to give up her resolution. Shocked at the sight of Durga she exclaimed "u" and "ma". (In Sanskrit 'u' is a word of address, and 'ma' means 'don't' or 'not wanted'). That is why Durga is also called "Uma". On the other hand overwhelmed by Durga’s devotion and perseverance, all the Gods and sages in the heaven were placated. At last, Grandfather Brahma, pleased with Devi’s austerities made an oracle, "O maiden! No one could achieve or endure the penance you have performed till date. I am captivated by your meditation and devotion. Your wish will be fulfilled and you will certainly have Lord Shiva as your husband. You may now return home and rest. Your father will come soon to take you". This form of Durga gives the devotees everlasting success. Worship of Matha Brahmacharini appearance enriches the faculties of sacrifice, honesty and self-discipline. In times of utter distress the worship of this form gives success and the willpower to come out victorious. This form of Maa Durga is also worshiped in the second day of the Durga Pooja. About Us

Attorneys help in the legal side to get the immigration process. The Atharva Veda tells a lot about getting the immigration to a foreign country. The 2nd, 3rd, 10th and 11th places in a person’s horoscope play a vital role in deciding the placement of a person in a foreign country other than the birth country. It is very easy to have a legal status in the same birth city but if the planets of an individual horoscope are not good, it is very hard to get a legal living status in the same mother country but in a different city. The first step, the horoscope of the person is to be prepared by an Atharva Vedic scholar. There is no use in simply being a scholar but the scholar should be the purest in mind, body and soul. The scholar should be the most generous person.

There is only one person in the list with all these qualifications. He is Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar (Dr. Commander Selvam). The prayer temple is for the regular prayers and the healing temp-les are meant only for healings. There are a lot of healing temples in India but there in no such kind of temple in the western countries.

The Hindu Temple of Georgia is the only healing temple in the entire western countries. The problems are solved by the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas. Our Services

The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) start from the preparation of horoscopes as per the standards specified in Atharva Veda. The horoscopes prepared as per the standards of Atharva Veda are the most accurate ones. The different houses of the horoscope stand for different relationship. The relationship between the individuals is secondary. But the relationship between the mind and body is the first. The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) start from here.

The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between the mind and body.
Some persons will think of one and do the other thing. That is called as the problem of relationship between the mind and body. The ascendant or Lagana’s part is vital in deciding the proper relationship of body and mind. If the Lagnathipathi (owner planet of the ascendant or Lagna or the Rasiathipathy (owner planet of the house, where the planet moon is seated) is powerless or debilated there will be no cordiality in the relationship between the mind and body. If they are seated in the house of the enemy planets the problem will be severe. Atharva Veda has many Yaksha/Yakshini devathas to solve this problem. Some shapes of Lord Shiva are to be worshipped through the rituals along with the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas. Shiva Rudra Thantra or Rudra Yamala parts of Atharva Veda speak much about Lord Shiva’s images and Yaksha/Yakshini devathas. Lord Shiva’s poses Angirasa Anantheswara Moorthy, Ashta Buja Kaalari Moorthy and Dhaaththarika Rudhra Moorthy are to be worshipped through rituals. There was an ancient monk named Angirasa. He had great troubles in co relating the activities of the different organs of his own body. He prayed lord Shiva to cure him. Lord Shiva appeared before him. He blessed the monk with a great strength to co relate the activities of all the organs of the monk’s body. From that day onwards Lord Shiva got the name as Angirasa Anantheewsara Moorthy. Performing the rituals without the proper advice from Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) is just as taking medicines without the advice of a physician. As the mantras and the deities will vary according to the horoscope of an individual these devathas are just as samples for the devathas. The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between father and son.
The relationship between father and son is in three stages. Up to 5th year of the son’s age he should be brought up as a prince. From the 6th year of age to 16th year of the son’s age he should be brought up as a slave. After the 16th year of the son he should be treated as the best friend to his father. The beginning of the teen age is always a problem. That too from the age of 16 to 19 the period is very tough. Only if the planets’ position in the horoscopes of father and son the boy will have a good relationship with the father. If not the son will go out of ways and he will have only wrong and harmful relationships. He won’t have a cordial relationship with the father. There is a fair chance for some kids to become as drug addicts. To avoid all these problems the horoscopes of both the father and son are to be checked as per the Atharva Vedic standards by Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar). If the planet Sun is not placed properly in the horoscope of the son there will be great problems in the relationship between the father and son. If the planets Saturn and Jupiter are not placed properly in the horoscope of the son, the relationship with the father will be with quarrels often. At times this will lead the departure of the son from the family. Atharva Veda has prescribed a lot of Atharva Veda Yaksha/Yakshini devathas to solve this problem. Lord Shiva’s form of Sri.Sukhasana Moorthy is to be worshipped along with the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas. The first Yaksha devatha is Bala Gana Yaksha. He is considered to be the Yaksha devatha to calm down the minds of the teenage boys. He has a good control over the planets also. The second Yaksha devathas to be worshipped through the rituals is Atharva Karthikeya. He is the pet son of Lord Shiva and Parvathy. He set as example for the best son. Atharva Veda’s thantric protion called Sri Thatva Nidhi explains a lot about this wonderful Yaksha devathas. The same explains the mantras and the procedures of rituals to be performed. The same scripture explains another Yaksha devathas named Sri. Bala Swamy. He is also considered as the most wonderful Yaksha to solve the relationship problems between father and son. The same Vedic scripture explains one more Yaksha devathas named Desika Yaksha. He is in standing position in front of Lord Shiva. By properly worshipping any or all of the Yaksha devathas as per the directions of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) the problems in the relationship between the father and son are solved peacefully. There will be the most understanding and cordial relationship between the father and son. The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between mother and son.
If the planets’ position in the horoscope of the son and mother are not well there will be great problems in the relationship between the mother and son. The position of the planets Moon and Mercury are to be scrutinized. If the position of the planets is not good in both the horoscopes, there will be a great confusion in the relationship between the mother and the son. Atharva Veda describes about many Yaksha/Yakshini devathas to solve the problem. The first Yaksha devathas is Matruka Brahmanya Yaksha. This devathas is to be worshipped through rituals by the mother and son together. The next Yakshini devathas is Ashtamatruka Yakshini. This is a group of Yakshini devathas. They have the excellent capacity to turn the worst planets’ position into the best planets’ position. There are eight Yakshini devathas in this group. They are Gowri Yakshini, Padma Yakshini, Sasi Yakshini, Medha Yakshini, Savitri ykashini, Vijaya Yakshini, Jaya Yakshini and Devasena Yakshini. They change the quarreling mind of the son and make the son as the best affectionate son to the mother. The relationship would be the greatest. The only required thing is the trustful and faithful participation in the rituals by the mother and son together. By the blessings of the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas and Swamiji, the problems will be solved spiritually in the smoothest level. To know more and more about Yaksha/Yakshini devathas and to solve the problems contact Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) @ USA toll free 1-800-574-3427 or Hindu Temple of Georgia @ 770-447-9393 ext -0- or email to avtemple@aol.com

The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between father and daughter.
It is common and natural that the sons are attached more to mother and daughters are more attached to father. In some families the relationship between the father and daughter will be the worse. The one and only reason for this problem is the misplacement of the planets. Praying the Atharva Veda Yakshini devathas through rituals as per the directions of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) is the only solution for this problem. He has got the best Atharva Veda Yaksha/Yakshini devathas to solve this problem spiritually. The first is Sri.Subrajnatha Yaksha. There is no image for this Yaksha devathas. Only the Yantra for this Yaksha devathas is explained in the Vedic scripture. Atharva Veda further explains about more and more Yaksha devathas. The first Yaksha is Dhoni Yaksha. As he acts like a boat or yacht to cross the problems of relationships he is called as Dhoni Yaksha. The Sanskrit word Dhoni means boat or yacht. The next are the twin Yaksha devathas called as Kumba Yaksha and Sumitra Yaksha. Among these twins the Kumba Yaksha makes the girl to change her mind and the Sumitra Yaksha develops the proper friendly relationship between the father and daughter. These Yaksha devathas are very powerful. They are having the capacity to make a unmake. But the basic requirements are the direction from a proper Guru and the complete faith and trust on the Guru and the Yaksha devathas. To know more and more about Yaksha/Yakshini devathas and to solve the problems in relationships, Contact Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) @ USA toll free 1-800-574-3427 or Hindu Temple of Georgia @ 770-447-9393 ext -0- or email to avtemple@aol.com

The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between father in law, mother in law and daughter in law.
Up to the marriage a girl is only a daughter. After the marriage she becomes the daughter in law of a different family. Normally most of the families consider the daughter in law as the most important member of the family and show a great love and affection to her. But in few families the daughter in law will be tortured like anything by the in laws. The father and mother of the husband are called as the father in law and mother in law. According to the horoscope of the suffering girl the planets will be in the worst position. If the planets Sun, Moon and Venus are not in a good position it is definite that the girl will have lot of troubles from her mother in law and father in law. Among These Planets If the Planet Sun is in a good position surely that girl will have a great support from her father in law. If the planet Moon is in a good position, the girl will get the wonderful help from the mother in law but she will have more disturbances from her father in law. If the planet Venus is in a good position in the horoscope of the suffering girl, she will get the greatest help from her husband but the troubles from the father in law and mother in law will be more. What is the best way to solve all these kinds of problems? Atharva Veda has explained about a lot of Yaksha/Yakshini devathas to solve this worst problem. For solving some problems Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) prescribes only the devathas rituals. For clearing some problems he prescribes devathas rituals along with Yaksha/Yakshini devathas rituals. For clearing certain problems Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) prescribes only Yaksha/Yakshini devathas rituals. What is devatha? What is Yaksha devathas and what is Yakshini devathas? Devathas are Gods. Yaksha is the masculine gender for demi- gods and the Yakshini is the feminine gender of demi goddesses. For correcting the problem of relationship between the father in law, mother in law and daughter in law Atharva Veda describes both Yaksha and Yakshini devathas rituals. There are eighteen devathas in total. Out of this eighteen eleven are male demi gods and seven are female demi goddesses. The eleven Yaksha devathas are called as “Ekadasa Maha Yakshas”. According to Atharva Veda they have got very fearsome poses. The first is Neelakanta Yaksha. He has a blue throat. He controls the voice of the father in law and mother in law. The next is Visalaksha Yaksha. He makes the bad vision of the father in law and mother in law as the best one. The third is Marthanda Yaksha. He graces the daughter in law with a great mental strength. The fourth is Swachandha Yaksha. He graces the daughter in law with a smiling face. The fifth is Athisanthushta Yaksha. He makes the father in law and mother in law to fell satisfied with the daughter in law. The sixth is Kechara Yaksha. He removes the evil ideas from the minds of father in law and mother in law. The seventh is Samhara Yaksha. He kills the evilness of the planets. The eighth is Viswaroopa Yaksha. He develops the good image of the daughter in law in minds father in law and mother in law. The ninth is Manovega Yaksha. He speeds up the minds of the father in law and mother in law to be soft and sweet to the daughter in law. The tenth is Kreetana Yaksha. He makes the daughter in law as the important personality of the family. The eleventh one is Mohana Yaksha. He creates a great love and affection in the minds of father in law and mother in law towards the daughter in law. The Yakshini devathas are called as Saptha Maha Yakshinis. They are Jayanthi Yakshini, Divyayogini Yakshini, Siddhayogini Yakshini,Mahayogini Yakshini, Daakini Yakshini Viroopakshi Yogini, and Maliniyogini Yakshini. Jayanthi Yakshini makes the daughter in law to win the mid of the mother in law. Divya Yogini Yakshini makes the mother in law’s mind to be more and more attached to the daughter in law. Divya yogini Yakshini clears off all the evil thoughts from the mind of mother in law. Siddhayogini Yakshini unites the minds of father in law and mother in law towards the daughter in law. Mahayogini ykshini makes the mother in law and father in law to keep the daughter in law in the place of a daughter. Daakini Yakshini removes the cruelty of the mother in law and father in law. Viroopakshi Yakshini diverts the vision of the mother in law and father in law towards the daughter in law. Maliniyakshini Yogini unites the mids of the mother in law, father in law and daughter in law. The Atharva Veda tells that these mantras should be learnt only from a Guru maharaj. The rituals performed as per the directions of a Guru Maharaj along with the help of learned Vedic scholars give the entire benefit of the rituals. The devathas and Yaksha/Yakshini devathas solve the problems and bless the devotee with a long and happy living.

Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship – brother in law and sister in law.

The next major problem caused to a married female is the problem caused by the brother in law and sister in law. A sister-in-law is one's brother's wife, or one's spouse's sister. One's spouse's brother's wife is also considered a sister-in-law. A brother-in-law is one's sibling's husband, or one's spouse's brother. One's spouse's sibling's husband is also considered a brother-in-law. According to Atharva Veda one should respect the wife of the brother and show a great love and affection to her. Some girls suffer much due to this great problem. Sr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) has wonderful salvation to this problem. Normally the planets Mars, Mercury and Venus should be in the proper form in the horoscope of a female. If the Mars is not well placed that girl is called as Manglik. That will create problems in the complete married life. If the planet Venus is not well placed the girl will have problems with the sister in law. If the planet Mercury is not well placed the girl will face problems with the brother in law. First the horoscope is to be calculated and scrutinized according to the Atharva Veda by Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar). If the problems are caused due to the improper positions of the planets certain Yaksha/Yakshini devathas are to be worshipped through rituals. In some families there will be great curse from the ancestors; it is called as Pitru Dosham. This will also give major problems in the relationship with brother in law and sister in law. In some families there will be the worst effect of evil deities and it is called as “Dhur devathas Saapam”. This will also cause the worst problems in the relationship of brother in law and sister in law. For each and every aspect of the problem, the horoscope is to be scrutinized by Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri. Sri.Selvam Siddhar). He clears off the problems of relationship between the brother in laws and sister in laws. Lord Shiva’s pose as Sri. Sankaranarayana is to be worshipped through the rituals along with the group of Yakshini devathas. There are nine Yakshini devathas in this group. They are Bairavi Yakshini, Gotra rakshini Yakshini, Abhayankari Yakshini, Veera Yakshini, Chakrini Yakshini, Mardhini Yakshini, Kaankshini Yakshini, Nivarani Yakshini and Vishala Yakshini. All these Yakshini devathas work along with Lord Shiva and removes the problems between brothers and sisters in law. Sankaranarayana is the united image of Lord Mahavishnu. They are brothers in law. Since they are united in one shape, they make the relationship very smooth. The Bairavi Yakshini removes the evilness in the minds. Gotra rakshini Yakshini works as a security guard to the entire family and prevent the evil spirits spoiling the goodness of the relationships. Abhayankari Yakshini removes all the fear from the minds of the in laws. Veera Yakshini gives great mental and physical courage to the in laws. Chakrini Yakshini blesses the devotee with a judicious capacity. By the judicious capacity one can easily analyze the good and bad among the relationships. Mardhini Yakshini kills all the evil nature and mentality from a human mind. Kaankshini Yakshini makes her devotee to get love and affection from all. By having the love and affection from one and all one can have a smooth relationship. Nivarani Yakshini gives wonderful remedy from all sorts of the troubles faced by the devotee. Particularly she gives remedy from the frictions and mental agonies caused by the problems of the relationships. Vishala Yakshini blesses the enemies of the devotees to widen their good vision on her devotees. All the mantras of the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas are very secret and sacred ones. If anybody tries to practice the mantras without the direction of a proper Guru, it is just as taking a very powerful medicine without the direction and consultation of a physician. The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between paternal grandparents and grand children
Even though there many relationships, the third generation relationships are always great and grand. Since these relationships are grand the elders are called as grand parents and the children are called as grand children. Among the nine planets Lord Raaghu stands for the best relationship between the paternal grand parents and grand children. If the planet Raaghu is not well placed in the horoscope of the grandchildren and if placed well in the horoscope of the grand parents, the love and affection shown to the grandchildren will be very wonderful but the grand children will never reciprocate the same. If the same planet is in a good position in the grand children’s horoscope and the planets are not well placed in the horoscopes of the grand parents, the grand children will have a great love and affection towards their grand parents but the love and affection they show will not be reciprocated. What is the solution for making the relationship as the best? The horoscopes of both the grand parents and the grand children are to be scrutinized according to Atharva Veda standards by Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar). Swamiji prefers some Yaksha devathas for the elderly grand parents and different Yaksha/Yakshini devathas for clearing off the problems in between the grand parents and grand children. By performing these rituals the relationship becomes as the best. The problems in the relationship will be removed by these Yaksha/Yakshini devathas. The services of Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) in correcting the problem of relationship between maternal grandparents and grand children
. Even though there many relationships, the third generation relationships are always great and grand. Since these relationships are grand the elders are called as grand parents and the children are called as grand children. Among the nine planets Lord Kethu stands for the best relationship between the maternal grand parents. If the planet is not well placed in the horoscopes of the grand parents, even though they try to maintain good relationship with the grand children they will be unable to do so. If the planet Kethu is not well placed in the horoscope of the grand children it will spoil the health of the grand parents and it will even result in the loss of the life of the grand parents. So, utmost care should be taken while scrutinizing the horoscope for this purpose. First Dr. Commander Selvam (Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar) prepares the horoscopes according to the Atharva Veda and he prescribes Atharva Vedic Thantric rituals. As these Yaksha/Yakshini devathas are to be worshipped through the rituals. By performing and taking an active part in the Atharva Vedic Thantric rituals one can easily solve the problems. BLACK MAGIC PROBLEMS

      Symptoms of Black Magic
Black magic puts a block on a person's wisdom and intelligence and all efforts to solve the problem go fruitless. One feels a mental block, gets disturbed sleep with bad dreams, and negative thoughts. There is heaviness and weight on the heart and constriction in the throat.
At times, there could suddenly be blue marks on thighs without getting hurt,  or  faster & erratic heartbeat and breathing without any physical exertion. There are quarrels in the family without any reason. One might feel the presence of somebody in the house.

One feels one is not getting one's due and can achieve much more. One feels suffocated & restless in all circumstances, and is never at peace. One remains depressed, with lack of enthusiasm or desire to live & rise in life.

      Effects of Black Magic
Black Magic can really play havoc with the life of the target person by destroying any aspect of life may it be career/business or wealth/prosperity, creating family problems or unnecessary tensions/phobias, adversely affecting children & family, creating chronic health problems, destroying mental peace, intelligence & happiness, cause inner turmoil, unrest & uncharacteristic/abnormal behavior and even cause unnatural deaths in extreme circumstances.

Black Magic not only affects the circumstances and future prospects of a person, but also deprives him materially of everything he was destined for, but also affects the psyche of the victim in such a way that one looses the will-power & mental energy to get out of the sinister situation one is in, and has no desire to live or rise in life.

The effects of Black Magic become more chronic, dangerous and fatal with time, if untreated, like a horrible disease. It starts spreading like a contagious disease, affecting the person's mind, brain, body, relationships, attitudes, work, money, marriage, career and everything in life.

The wonderful Yakshini devathas to relive the troubles of black magic.
After a long time of dedicated study of the Thantras the Yaksha devathas were brought to this present world. With the help of the following Yaksha/Yakshini devathas, one can easily come across the problem of black magic. They are Kali and Kalaratri. Even though they look alike, they differ from the style of work they do.
Kali is the only survivor of the Matrikas, that group of Yaksha female deities who are ambivalent in the extreme, being simultaneously malevolent persecutors and kindly protectors. Specifically she is associated with Naravahini, a naked, skeletal and terrifying figure who rides a man as her vehicle. There is quite a lot to be said for this theory as the average person when confronted with a group of Matrika figures, one of the great sculptural clinches in India, identifies only Kali (the Naravahini) within it usually. Specifically she is a personification of emergent wrath on the part of the older goddess when she goes to battle. She is red eyed from quaffing wine as well as wrath, has a garland of human heads, wears tiger-skin clothes and has a lolling tongue that she occasionally employs to emit frightful roars that fill up all the quarters. Her preferred mode of demon destruction is to either chew them up or cut off their heads as she does to Chanda and Munda. Thantric ritual for this Yakshini devatha, under the guidance of Swamiji Sri Selvam Siddhar gets a very relief from the black magic.

The next deity is Kalaratri. Kalaratri is one of the most fearsome forms of mother Durga. Her bodily complexion is that of thick darkness and black. She has disheveled hair. A necklace flashing like lightning adorns her neck. She has three eyes, which are circular in the form like cosmic egg, which always eject rays shining like lightning. Terrible flames appear when she inhales or exhales air through her nostrils. Her vehicle is a donkey. Her raised right hand always seems to grant boons to all and sundry. Her right lower hand is in the pose of allaying fears. Her left upper hand holds a thorn-like weapon made of iron and in the lower left hand there is a dagger. The mother, Kalaratri destroys the wicked. Danava, Daitya, Raksasa, Bhuta, Preta and all other evil spirits are terrified and run away as soon as the devotee remembers Kalaratri. She is also the remover of all kinds of evil effects. Her worshipper has no fear from fire, water, wild beings, enemy or night. By her grace he always remains unmindful of any fear.

To get remedy from any kind of evil spirits or jadoo or voodoo get the best consultation from Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar. All these rituals are to be performed only under the guidance of Swamiji Sri.Siddhar, along with the help of learned scholars. Some rituals need at least 16 Punditjis. These rituals are to be performed only at the Temple, where at least a few Yaksha/Yakshini devatha images are kept. Contact Swamiji Sri.Selvam Siddhar or Hindu Temple of Georgia. Get the complete blessings of the Yaksha/Yakshini devathas.

as everybody gave and received it. Only when patients needed a particular treatment
were they referred to specialists that used the appropriate Ayurvedic techniques.

Massage techniques can also help to maintain a loving relationship between husband and wife. After this kind of soothing

relaxation, it is easier to share and give love. Before a marriage a massage is one of the few ceremonies in the Hindu tradition

that is compulsory even today so that bride and groom are especially beautiful on their wedding day.

      Therapeutic Treatment

In allopathic medicine there is no proper treatment for diseases such as arthritis, spondylitis, lumbago, slip disc, frozen shoulder,

stress & strain, sciatica etc. A variety of result-proven procedures are available in Ayurveda namely Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi,

Abhayangam, Sirodhara, Shirovasti, Elakizhi, Ubatan etc. for treating such problems.

PIZHICHIL is a relaxing, soothing and rejuvenating treatment with medicated warm oil which is poured in a continuous stream

for a definite period over the whole body (excluding head & neck). It is used to effectively treat arthritis, ageing, general weakness, paralysis etc. ‘Pizhichil’ and ‘Sarvangadhara’ are technically the same. ’Pizhichil’ literally means ‘squeezing’. Here, warm medicated oil is squeezed over the patient’s body from a piece of cloth that is periodically dipped in a vessel containing the oil. Pizhichil is recommended for diseases caused by a vitiation of the Vata humour - Pakshaghata (Hemiplegia), paralysis and muscle

spasms – and other degenerative diseases that affect the muscles.

NJAVARAKIZHI is a therapy for all types of rheumatism, pain in the joints, wasting of muscles, skin disorders, convalescence

period of injury and trauma, arthritis, general weakness, paralysis etc. After the application of medicated oil, your entire body is

made to perspire by a whole body massage using medicated milk-porridge made into a bundle. It is an immuno-enhancing

rejuvenation therapy. In addition to being a cure for various

ailments, Navarakizhi revitalises your skin and makes it glow.

SIRODHARA is a unique treatment where specific medicated oils are used to bathe the head in a regular stream for a definite

period. It is an effective therapy for mental relaxation and cures insomnia, stress, depression, decreased mental agility etc. When medicated buttermilk replaces oil, the therapy is called Takradhara.

SHIROVASTI is considered more of a palliative (Shamana) treatment than an eliminative (Shodhana) one. The treatment is

usually preceded by oiling (Snehana) and sudation (Swedana). A leather sleeve of about six to eight inches in length is placed on

the head of the patient and a band tied around the forehead to keep it in place. Kneaded dough is used to line the inside of this

sleeve and ensure that it does not leak. Oil is then poured into the sleeve and allowed to remain on the head for a while. The

length of time the oil should be kept there is determined by the severity of the disease. Usually it is up to fifty minutes for diseases caused by severe Vata disorders. This type of vasti improves the sensory functions. It also promotes kaphagenic secretions in the para-nasal sinus zone which reduce vascular

congestion in the brain. This treatment is prescribed for disorders like facial paralysis, cataract, deafness, earache, insomnia and

other diseases that afflict the cranial nerves. Shirovasti is extremely useful in vascular headaches, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, memory loss, disorientation, glaucoma and sinus headaches.

ABHYANGAM is a general massage therapy for rejuvenation. This total body massage with herbal medicated oil is used to

massage the body with specific implications to the 107 vital points (marmas) of the body. It helps to give better circulation,

muscular tone, mental tranquility and better health maintenance. It tones up your skin and rejuvenates and strengthens all the

tissues so as to achieve ideal health and longevity. It increases Ojas (primary vitality) and thereby increases the resistance of your body. In addition to being beneficial for your eyes, Abhyanga gifts you with sound sleep. This is also a cure for rheumatism.

ELAKIZHI is a therapy for revitalizing the skin. Herbal poultices are prepared with various herbs and medicated powder. Your

entire body is massaged with these poultices after they are warmed in medicated oils. This promotes circulation and increases

perspiration which in turn helps the skin eliminate the waste, thereby improving skin tone. It is also used to tackle joint pain,

      muscle cramps, stress and arthritis.

All the above-mentioned treatments can be done in a perfectly healthy person as well so as to enhance his/her immunity, vitality

and longevity of life. The above treatments can be offered in different combinations according to the physician’s direction. Each

of these combinations gives a curative and rejuvenating effect after being undergone for definite periods and repeating at

      definite intervals.

UBATAN is a Beauty Massage. It is used to help the aged and special techniques have been developed for young mothers as

      well as babies.

Indian traditional Ayurvedic massage techniques are based on the Ayurvedic doshas and marmas (pressure points like in

      reflexology).

Specific Ayurvedic massage therapies are used in certain therapeutic treatments like in Panchakarma purification.

      • ========================================================================================================

In an earlier article published in French[1] we saw how the creed in the benevolent power of the State shared the nature of the superstition by which some people expect miracles from some divinity in exchange for humiliations. [2]

That's the principle of black magic: to expect miracles, happiness, success, redemption from failures, etc., from external and superior entities that feed from the humiliation of those who voluntarily make sacrifices to them and who reduce unbelievers to subjection, from spirits that rejoice from one's destruction of oneself and other people, from gods that demand one's contempt for oneself and other people, from supernatural beings with unlimited powers and arbitrary desires that are not bound by any law knowable by reason but are meant to be influenced by a show of feelings from their humiliated followers. In short, this black magic consists in the irresponsible tying of one's hope of future satisfactions to the whim of external and superior intervening powers.

Now, divinities that could be corrupted by such sacrifices do not deserve being sacrificed anything whatsoever. They are abject beings against which any self-respecting human being can but revolt. Those that grovel at the feet of such divinities are slaves, swine, creatures lacking the dignity of their own free will, and who are prompt to forsake it indeed.

But such is not the only way magic can be conceived. There is another magic, white magic. Its principle is: work and strive to earn as a reward each and every blessing that one enjoys. In as much as this attitude can be explained in terms of divinities, these divinities are bound by knowable laws, and it is through from respect of these laws rather than from their whims that one seeks to obtain blessings, through hard work. In a certain way, these divinities are not supernatural beings existing above nature and free from its laws — they are the laws of nature themselves and nature itself. They do not demand adoration and submission but understanding and acceptance. They are satisfied not by the abjection of worshippers but by the raise in dignity and talent of their observers. They reward not the scared humiliation of submissive humans, but the respectful mastership of proud humans. They do not promise to believers the future grant of surreal relishes but invite the wise to reevaluate their present desires considering the constraints of reality.

These divinities are untouchable but well-meaning; they have no superiority complex, and do not demand a extensive display of groveling submission through an uninterrupted sequence of sacrifices. They offer us a non-hierarchical relationship between equals, or rather, between unequals, where matters not the appearance of periodical external shows, but the depth of a permanent internal discipline over oneself, a discipline that aims not toward debasing oneself to submit to the gods, but toward enhancing oneself to master them.

Prayer in black magic is passivity and destruction, in an attitude of humiliation and worship. Prayer in white magic is work and creation, in an attitude of determination and respect. The disciple of black magic does evil with the hope that some good will emerge out of it through a miraculous violation of the laws of nature. The disciple of white magic does good by consenting to an effort appraised as the least evil according to the laws of nature. Priests of black magic invoke authority as the source of knowledge, and claim that the ways of their gods are unfathomable to anyone but them. Priests of white magic propose conjectures that are subject to the open review of everyone's reason and experience, and gaining insight into their divinities is the very essence of their religious practice. Priests of black magic extend their cult by subjecting the infidels to their creed, by humiliating and degrading other people. Priests of white magic extend their religion by subjecting their beliefs to the criticism of other people, by freeing and bettering themselves. Believers of black magic are the slaves of their gods. Believers of white magic are the masters of their gods.

Black magic and white magic coexist in traditional and instituted religions. They are two opposite poles of behaviour between which are each of our acts. Black magic always wins in appearance[3]; you will always see it dominate the established institutions, glorified by formal rites and astonishing shows. But it is white magic that actually makes the world go round, even if it requires discernment to see that; it is white magic that continuously adapts to the world, from which stems all creation, that serves as the basis for civilization itself.

There is an opposition between Good and Evil, but it is not the cosmic struggle proposed by the priests of the cult of the dead; it is not a conflict between superior gods, where Good would be to submit to the god of one priest rather than to other gods. On the contrary, it is the opposition between on the one hand a culture of destruction, of humiliation and of spectacle, and on the other hand, a culture of creation, pride and work.

ADI SHANKARA THE OCEAN OF KNOWLEDGE

      Introduction

Adi Shankara was born thousand years before this century. He was born in a Brahmin family, but he lost his father at the very young stage of life. His birth place is called

“KALADY”, a small village situated in KERALA of SOUTH INDIA. Up to six years he was brought up by his mother. He was willing to take renunciation by that age of six itself. However, his mother refused him for Ashram life of renunciation and penance.

One day, when the boy Shankara was taking bath in the river, a crocodile caught one of his legs. That information went into the ears of his mother. His mother ran to the riverbank and saw her son struggling for life. At that stage also, Sri Shankara told his mother, that if she could permit him for a life of renunciation Lord Vishnu would save my life from this crocodile. His mother had no other go. She gave permission for the boy to take renunciation.

By surprise an elephant came into that place and fought with the crocodile. The crocodile slipped into the river leaving the boy unhurt. From that time he became Sanyasi (sage/saint/monk). It was meant, that a person who left the earthly pleasures. But Sri Shankara promised his mother that he would come to her at the time of her last days .  He traveled through out India and visited all holy places. Adi Shankara had composed and written many Sanskrit slogas of philosophy. Bhaja Govindam is a collection of poems written by Adi Shankara and his desiples, Sri Padma pathar and Sri Todakachariyar. Baja Govindham plainly explains the sorrowful and changeable nature of the worldly life of people.

Bhaja Govindham follows with 31Slogas, worshipping Sri Vishnu in other name Sri Govindha.

      Sloga No.1

Oh fool, the time of death is harmful, what is the use of learning Sanskrit grammar like

“Duklinkarane”.The Grammatical verses will not save any one when the death occurs.

So, through the mind, through the words and through physique worship the “Lord Govindha”. Always worship by chanting the words “Lord Govindha”.

      Sloga No.2

Oh fool!! A person gets wealth through his past births and contributions. Avoid strong desire for money, wealth and property. Be satisfied with what that comes ultimately. Do not get confused and get strong desire and become insane. The deeds of past birth have much attachment to present life.

      Sloga No.3

Oh fool!! A young woman’s breasts and hip are made by flesh and excessive protein. Do not get infatuation or lust by looking at them! Think with patience how these forms come into vision. Control the mind by minute to minute and second to second. Think about the basic elements of those physical anatomy, then the lust and sexual feeling will not arise.

      Sloga No.4

In the lotus leaf, the dew drops of water in the early morning, which exists for a few seconds. Human life is impermanent. This world has strange nature. Every where Ego and Selfishness and disease appear and exist. For this destructive worldly pleasure don’t wander with hunger.

      Sloga No.5

When a person has ability to earn and make income, his relatives and others will love him much. When that person becomes unable to make money, wealth due to old age, his relatives and others start to neglect him, and they would not ask his well fare. In old age that person would fall bed-ridden due to disease. No one would come near to that person.

      Sloga No.6

While that bird named ‘soul’ fly away from one’s physique, no body would care about that person. With whom that person shared the pleasure would get afraid to go near to that dead body. These are temporary contacts with close relatives and not permanent. The flower like words from them would cease. Nothing in this world is eternal.

      Sloga No.7

When a person born and reach to boy hood, he spends his time through playful activities. When a person attains young, he goes behind woman for pleasure. When a person attains old age, he spends his time through thinking about past with tears. These are the three stages of one’s worldly life. Even then no one spends his time about thinking of the God. No one leads his life towards the Almighty.

      Sloga No.8

Who is one’s son? Who is one’s wife? This world is nothing but strange trap. Where from a person comes into this world? Who are the relatives when a person has not entered into this world? Engage into that “Deep thought”! Come to realize this physique is not one’s nature! Then how this birth came? Search through philosophy. How and where this deep-mist that disclose the “Truth” of one’s “Self”.

      Sloga No.9

Have and join with the true devotees of God! Join with justful people. Then the truth and revealation will come through this attachment! Then the imaginary relations and attraction would destroy. By that time a person will achieve eternal pleasure and will be a known one to all. Even while living in this world a person will become a saint or devotee of God and attains wisdom. Then those people know and understand about the eternal pleasure.

  • COMMANDER SELVAM SIDDHAR SRI

    • From: drcommandersidhar
    • Description:

      Atharva Vedic Music Therapy
      formulated  by Sri Selvam "Siddhar"

Music therapy is a scientific method of effective cures of disease through the power of music. It restores, maintains and improves emotional, physiological and psychological well being. The articulation, pitch, tone and specific arrangement of swars (notes) in a particular raga stimulates, alleviates and cures various ailments inducing electro magnetic change in the body.

Music therapy has a long history dating back to ancient Orphic school in Greece. Pythagorus, Plato and Aristotle, all were aware of the prophylactic and therapeutic powers of music. Even the old testament mentions music therapy where King David is said to have cured an illness by playing on the harp. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, used music to cure human diseases. In ancient Egypt music was used to lessen the pain of women during childbirth. Ibn Sina, a famous Arabic writer, has written in detail on this subject. In India legend has it that Thyagaraja, the famous musician of South India, brought a dead person back to life by singing the composition Naa Jeevan Dhara in raga Bihari. In 1729 Richard Browne, a physician wrote the famous text Medicina Musica which describes the use of music as medicine. Dr Burnell has mentioned a manuscript named Raga Chikistsa in the collections of Saraswati Mahal Library in Tanjore which deals with the various ragas that can be used for curing various ailments. What is music? "Music is a kind of inarticulate, unfathomable speech which leads us to the edge of the infinite and lets us for a moment gaze in that" observed Carlyle. Music is basically a sound or nada generating particular vibrations which moves through the medium of ether present in the atmosphere and effects the human body. Sarangdev mentions in his Sangeet Ratnakar that ahata nada or music is always produced by striking or aghata by a living being on an instrument of any kind. So music is a power or universal energy in the form of ragas.

Matanga (9-10th century AD) was the earliest writer to define raga. According to him "raga is that kind of sound composition consisting of melodic movements which has the effect of colouring the hearts of men". "There are four sources of raga: folk songs, poetry, devotional songs of mystics and compositions of classical musicians. While harmony is the characteristic of Western music, Indian music is pure melody. The general term for melody in India is raga or ragini". (Kangra Ragmala -- M.S. Randhawa).

Symphonies of raga have a definite soothing effect on the mind as well as on the body. Repeated listening to the particular raga being chosen for a particular disease produces a network of sound vibration. The muscles, nerves and the chakras of the affected part are contracted when one impulse is given and relaxed during the interval between two impulses. Thus, during contraction of the tissue, musical notes make the blood flow out from that particular area and in the interval there is relaxation and a state of reduced pressure is produced in these areas. Thus the blood from the adjacent area will flow there. This process is repeated again and again and the blood flow and energy flow in that part is enhanced. This makes quick, fast healing. Energy from URF (universal energy field) to HEF (human energy field) transmitted by the strokes of the different tones of raga affects the CNS (central nervous system) because the roots of the auditory nerves are more widely distributed and have more connections than any other nerves in the body. Music beats have a very close relationship with heart heats. Music having 70-75 beats per minute equivalent to the normal heart beat of 72 has a very soothing effect. Likewise rhythms which are slower than 72 beats per minute create a positive suspense on the mind and body since the mind body complex anticipates that the music will speed up and this restored vital energy gives a deep relaxation to the body. Rhythms which are faster than the heart rate excite and rejuvenate the body.

Hindustani/classical musical considers ragas as depicting specific moods. An appropriate mood is to be evoked in the listener's mind before initiating the musical treatment. Kafi Raga evokes a humid, cool, soothing and deep mood while Raga Pooriya Dhanasri evokes sweet, deep, heavy, cloudy and stable state of mind. Raga Mishra Mand has a very pleasing, refreshing, light and sweet touch while Bageshwari arouses a feeling of darkness, stability, depth and calmness.

Music is considered the best tranquiliser in modern days of anxiety, tension and high blood pressure. Raga Darbari is considered very effective in easing tension. It is a late night raga composed by Tansen for Akbar to relieve his tension after hectic schedule of the daily court life. This raga belongs to Asavari That and is a complete raga containing all the seven notes. The seven notes are taken from various natural sounds of birds and animals. Pandit Jasaraj's Ram Ko Sumiran Kar in Vilambil Ek Tal is one of the best available recordings of this majestic raga. Pandit Raghunath Seth's Raga Darabari (instrumental) in a Music Therapy cassette named Tanav is especially composed for easing tension.

Dr. Balaji Tambe has proved through his scientific research that Raga Bhupali and Todi give tremendous relief to patients of high blood pressure. Raga Ahir-Bhairav is supposed to sustain chords which automatically brings down blood pressure. This raga is a combination of Kafi and Bhairav. Pandit Jasaraj's Aj to anand anand in Druti-teen tal is one of the best vocal performances of this beautiful raga.

Raga Malkauns and Raga Asawari helps to cure low blood pressure. Malkauns and Raga Asawari helps to cure low blood pressure. Malkauns a very prominent raga of Bhairavi That (composition of musical notes from which the raga originates) is one of the oldest ragas of Indian classical Music. Re and pa are absent in this raga, all the other notes used are komal (soft). The timeless performance by Pandi Onkarnath Thakur in Paga ghunghroo baje Mira nache re is one of the best known examples of this raga.

For heart ailments Raga Chandrakauns is considered very helpful. Certain other prominent ragas for relaxation and easing tension are Raga Tilak-kamod, Hansdhwani, Kalavati, Durga. They evoke a very pleasing effect on the nerves. For patients suffering from insomnia and need a peaceful sonorous sleep, Raga Bihag and Bahar have wonderful effects.

Ragas are closely related to different parts of the day according to changes in nature and development of a particular emotion, mood or sentiment in the human mind. Bhairav is sung an hour before dawn, Ramkali at dawn, Vilavali at sunrise, Sarang at noon, Nata and Malava in the afternoons, Gaudi in the evenings, Kalyan at night, Kedara, Chandra and Bihag late in the night.

Music therapy treatment is conducted either early morning, evening or night. One should avoid long music sessions on an empty stomach. Music sessions should be of one hour duration with two or three short sessions with breaks.

                           SIDDHAS AND YOGA PHILOSOPHY

Yoga is the experience of cosmic consciousness which cannot be adequately explained in words, for words are only shells. Yoga deepens and expands ones consciousness. The siddhas are great yogis discovered the secret of cosmic consciousness. Consciousness is the intelligence-principle and yoga is a conscious process to accelerate our growth from grosser to subtler layers of mind. The term siddha comes from the word “siddhi” which means the experience of shiva. Shiva means experience of consciousness. Shiva means suchness or “paraparam”. siddhas are different from other saints. The siddhas do not belong to any religion. The siddhas are attained the siddhis(powers) siddhas are actually our great guru. The most sublime statement is “anbe sivam”, “god is love” .The great yogi thirumula says who is siddhas. A siva siddhas merges in space, love in love, light in light. [“Ref-  Anthology of Yoga by Ganapathy ”]

Most of us think of our body as simply our physical form. our skin, bones muscles and internal organs.Physical body is not only our body: we have the subtle bodies and subtle energy within.

Ordinary people only believe what they see, hear and touch.Yoga identifies what they cannot see with eyes, hear with ears and touch with fingers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 According to tamil siddha view the ordinary human body can be transformed into a divine body.I n siddha view human body is called moksha sadhana or kaya sadhana.

In thirumandiram(book written by siddha thirumoola) number of verses praising the importance fo human body as a ladder to mukthi. He called the human body is the abode of god. In tamil siddha literature the temple is an image of both the macrocosm and micro cosm.

The transformation of the physical body into the divine body via analogy of a warm turning it into butterfly is called kaya sadhana.Ordinary physical body disciplined by yoga it becomes ripe or attain pakva.the jiva(soul) attain mukthi. Mukthi means the yogi transforming his material body into divya deha, when he desired to leave from the world.Yogi radiating innerfire by which he reduced his body into a subtler form and without body he left the world.jivanmuka does not die.

                           Example:

                                          Saint Andal

                                          Saint Ramalinga

                                          Saint Nandanar

                                          Saint manikka vasagar.

The great siddhas of Tamil Nadu.

The way to overcome the limitations of the physical body is to adhere to the philosophy and sadhana of the yoga siddhas (by yogi Ramaiah). This leads not only to transcendence ,but to transformation at all levels of ones existence. Upanishads are suggested panchakoshas they are as follows.

1.)   Annamaya Kosha - Material body

2.)   Pranamaya Kosha - Biological body

3.)   Monomaya Kosha - Psychological body

4.)   Jnanamaya Kosha - Rational body

5.)   Anandamaya Kosha – Spiritual body.

The concept of pancakosha is a great importance in the study of Vedanta and in the process of self realization. The yoga sutras and commentaries on the text are silent regarding the nature and application of realization of pancha koshas.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Herbal Products:-

Herbal medicines have been in use for many centuries. Here are a few merits and demerits of herbal medicines.
Today, people around the globe are giving preference to alternative medicines such as ayurveda, naturopathy, homeopathy, Siddha  and herbal medicine. It is worth mentioning that these natural and alternative medicines were used thousands of years ago. Archaeological evidences reveal that the civilizations of the bygone era used herbal plants as part of traditional medicine. The earliest documentation about the usage of herbal remedies comes from China and dates back to 2800 BC. For almost 5000 years, herbal medicine was used for treating various ailments. Today, it has been developed as a separate industry as many people favor herbal medicine over synthetic medicine.

      Advantages of Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is cost effective and less expensive than the medicines bought from an allopathic pharmacy.

Another merit of herbal medicine is that it can be bought without a prescription. They are available in any health store.

Herbal medicine a nd remedies are more effective than allopathic medicine for certain ailments.

The chemical medicine prescribed by a pharmacist could have certain negative side effects. However, many of the herbal medicines and remedies do not have negative side effects. If any, they are softer than allopathic medicine.

Herbal medicine can be effectively used for body’s natural detoxification process. The
herbs such as Plantago psyllium seed, rhubarb juice powder, aloe vera, alfalfa juice, chlorella, carrot concentrate and garlic can be used to cleanse the colon, improve digestion and food absorption and boost your immune system. Some digestive disorders such as colitis, indigestion, peptic ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome can be cured using the herbs.

Herbal medicine which includes herbs such as ginger, capsicum, garlic and motherwort help to control the ailments related to blood circulation such as high blood pressure, varicose ulcers and so on. Many of the herbal medicines are used to treat coronary artery disease and to reduce cholesterol level in the blood stream.

Obesity is the cause of many of the health problems. Herbal medicine can help reduce excess weight and regulate appetite.

      Disadvantages of Herbal Medicine

      Like all forms of
alternative health care, herbal medicine also has few demer its. Here are a few of them.

      Cure using
herbal medicine and supplements would take some time. You should possess immense patience.

Herbal medicine contains various ingredients and you should be sure that your body agrees with the ingredients and it is not allergic.

A point worth mentioning here is, herbal remedies and medicine for certain ailments may have negative side effects. These side effects may not be revealed immediately, but would take months or even years. In the initial stages, if the herbal medicine is not agreeing with you, it is wise to stop using it.

Remember, the government does not regulate herbal medicine industry. Hence, there is no quality assurance for herbal products.

There are very few good practitioners of herbal medicine and it would be wise to ensure that you consult a good practitioner before starting on herbal medicine.

About Kali Matha By Swamiji Sri Selvam Siddhar - Dr Commander Selvam of Sri Akasthiyar Siddhar peedam- Worlwide

      Origin Of Kali

Not merely her form, mysticism enshrouds Kali's origin also.
Among lines on which her origin has been traced three are more
significant, though she transcends even those. She is sometimes
seen as a transformation, or a form developed out of some of the
Vedic deities alluded to in Brahmins and Upanishads, mainly
Ratridevi, the goddess of dark night, also named Maha-ratri, the
      Transcendental Night,

and Nirtti, the cosmic dancer. Kali's darker aspect is claimed to
have developed out of Ratridevi's darkness, and her dance, which
she performed to destroy, to have its origin in the cosmic dance
of Nirtti who too trampled over whatever fell under her feet.
Mundaka Upanishad talks of seven tongues of Agni, the Fire-god,
one of them operating in cremation ground and devouring the dead.
Over-emphasizing the factum of association of Kali and this
tongue of Agni with cremation ground a few scholars have sought
in Agni's tongue the origin of Kali's form.

Whatever variations in their versions, the Puranas perceive Kali
as an aspect of Devi - Goddess, a divinity now almost completely
merged with Durga. However, considering Kali's status as a
goddess within her own right, as well as her wide-spread
worship-cult prevalent amongst various tribes and ethnic groups
scattered far and wide in remote rural areas Kali seems to be an
indigenous, and perhaps, pre-Vedic divinity. As suggests the term
Kali, she appears to be the feminine aspect of Kala - Time, that
being invincible, immeasurable and endless has been venerated as
Mahakala - the Transcendental Time, represented in Indian
metaphysical and religious tradition by Shiva. In Hindu religious
terminology Mahakala is Shiva's just another name. Like Shiva,
some Indus terracotta icons seem to represent a ferocious female
divinity that might be Kali or a form preceding her, and in all
probabilities, Shiva's feminine counterpart. Buddhism, a thought
that opposed Vedic perception in most matters, inducted into its
pantheon Mahakala and a ferocious female divinity in her various
manifest forms, as Mahakala's feminine counterpart. Obviously,
Buddhism must have inducted her from a source other than the
Vedic, as the Vedic it vehemently opposed. Invoked with great
fervor on many occasions in the Mahabharata, more especially in
Bhishma-Parva, just before Lord Krishna delivers his Gita sermon,
Kali seems to be a well established divinity during the Epic
days, that is, centuries before the Puranic era began. Though
invoked as 'Arya', a term denotative of great reverence, Arjuna
lauds her as tenebrous maiden garlanded with skulls, tawny,
bronze-dark. and with epithets such as Mahakali, Bhadrakali,
Chandi, Kapali ., the features yet relevant in Kali's imagery. A
number of literary texts : Kalidasa's Kumarasambhava, Subandhu's
      Vasavadatta, Banabhatta's Kadambari, Bhavabhuti's Malitimadhava,
Somadeva's Yashatilaka., of the period from 2nd to 9th century,
also allude to Kali, a fact denotative of her great popularity in
realms other than religion. This Kali essentially transcends
Vedic Ratridevi, Maharatri, Nritti or one of Agni's seven tongues
or a divine form grown out of any of them.

However, Kali cannot be attributed this or that mode of origin.
Even if a goddess of indigenous origin and one of primitive
tribes, she has far greater width and operativeness than the
non-operative boon-giving primitive deities usually had. Unless
her absolute 'at homeness' in the traditional Hindu line and her
status in it are sacrificed she can not be treated as a mere
tribal deity with indigenous origin. Alike, the tradition can not
owe her as absolutely her own creation unless her status of being
a goddess in her own right is compromised and she is reduced to
what she is not. Whatever her origin, perhaps indigenous, Kali
emerges in the tradition as its own with far greater thrust and
reverence than it attributed to others. Not a mere epithet or
aspect of another goddess, Kali has been conceived as the
Shakti - Power of Kala - Time. Like Kala she pervades all
things, manifest or unmanifest. Puranas perceive Kali as Durga's
personified wrath - her embodied fury, but in every case she is
her real Shakti. Even her own fury, Durga summons Kali to
accomplish what she herself fails to do. After Durga separates
Kali from her being and Kali emerges with a form of her own - an
independent being, she reigns supreme in entire Hindu pantheon as
regards the power to destroy and defeat enemies.

Not merely Durga's Shakti, Kali has been conceived also as Lord
Shiva's dynamic aspect. In a delightful equation, 'a', the main
component of 'Shava' and 'Kala', negates what 'i', the main
component of 'Shiva' and 'Kali', accomplishes. Shava is the
lifeless body, whatever is left of the manifest universe when the
Power of Time takes it under its control, and Kala is what
reveals only in the manifest aspect of the universe, and thus,
both are 'timed'. When 'i', symbolic of the feminine energy which
manifests as Kali, unites into their beings transforming Shava
into Shiva and Kala into Kali, both emerge as 'timeless'. In
Shiva this universe is contained, and hence, in him, the
transition from the 'timed' to the 'timeless' takes place. Kali,
being the Power of Time, does not undergo this transition.

      Kali In Puranas

Allusions to Kali occur in some early Puranas too, it is,
however, the 5th-6th century Devi-Mahatmya, a part of the
Markandeya Purana, which comes out with her more elaborate vision
in regard to her origin, appearance, personality, power and exploits.

The Devi-Mahatmya comprises independent 'Dhyana' on Mahakali and
uses Kali's names, such as Bhadrakali, Kalika, Chandika. as
epithets of Devi in its different parts; these are, however, two
episodes that give to her fuller exposure in regard to her
origin, role and other things. One of them relates to Chanda and
Munda, the ferocious demons she kills, and other, to Rakta-bija.

Defeated and thrown out of Devaloka - their abode, by demons
Shumbha and Nishumbha, erstwhile generals of Mahisha, gods lauded
Devi and invoked her to come to their rescue and free their abode
from the notorious demons. Devi, bathing in river Ganga as
Parvati, heard gods' laudation and asked herself who they were
lauding, and when she so questioned, from her own being sprang up
a female form - a bewitching beauty that had unique luster,
teemed in great youthfulness, and was richly bejeweled and
brilliantly costumed. She replied that it was her they lauded.
She then proceeded to the region which demons of Shumbha's army
swarmed and sat under a tree all alone. Hearing of her from a
messenger Shumbha intensely desired to marry her and sent to her
his proposal. However, the divine maiden sent back his messenger
with words that she would marry only such one who defeated her in
a battle. Thinking that a young maiden with no arms in hands was
hardly a challenge, Shumbha sent a small contingent to fight and
capture her. The Goddess defeated and destroyed it and one after
the other all contingents that followed. Finally, with a huge
army of demons under the command of their generals Chanda and
Munda Shumbha and Nishumbha themselves came to fight the Goddess.
Seeing Chanda and Munda advancing towards her the Goddess blazed
with fury. As the Devi-Mahatmya has it:

"From the knitted brows of her forehead's surface
      immediately came forth Kali,
with her dreadful face, carrying sword and noose,
she carried a strange skull-topped staff,
and wore a garland of human heads,
she was shrouded in a tiger skin, and looked utterly gruesome
      with her emaciated skin,
her widely gaping mouth, terrifying with its lolling tongue,
      with sunken, reddened eyes
and a mouth that filled the directions with roars."

The Goddess asked Kali to destroy demons' army, Chanda and Munda
in particular, on which Kali inflicted great destruction all
around, danced on the corpses, killed Chanda and Munda and as
trophies of war brought to the Goddess their severed heads. The
Goddess attributed to Kali the epithet of Chamunda - destroyer of
Chanda and Munda. Deaths of Chanda and Munda greatly infuriated
Shumbha and Nishumbha and with all demons at their command, which
included the demon Rakta-bija and others of his clan, they
attacked the Goddess and surrounded her along Kali from all
sides. To face their massive number the Goddess summoned
Sapta-Matrikas - Seven Mothers, Brahmani, Maheshwari, Kumari,
Vaishnavi, Varahi, Narsimhi and Aindri, the powers of all major
gods, Brahma, Shiva, Skanda, Vishnu and Indra.

      Illustration: http://www.108shiva.com

A fierce battle ensued but what upset the Goddess most was the
multiplication of Rakta-bija who had a boon to the effect that a
new Rakta-bija demon would rise from wherever a drop of his blood
fell. Finally, the Goddess called Kali to drink the blood of
Rakta-bija before it fell on the earth. With a gaped mouth
devouring hosts of demons and a tongue extended into all
directions and moving faster than did the demon Kali consumed
every drop of blood oozing from the wounds of Rakta-bija.

      Illustration: http://www.hindutempleofgeorgia.org

Not Devi-Mahatmya alone, almost all Puranas, Agni and Garuda in
particular, venerate Kali as the goddess who assures success in
      war and eliminates enemies.

Skanda Purana links Kali's origin to Parvati. Initially Parvati
had dark complexion for which Shiva used to tease her every now
and then. One day on being addressed twice as Kali -
black-complexioned, Parvati deserted Shiva. She said that she
would not return unless she got rid of her black complexion.
After Parvati left, Shiva felt very lonely. Taking advantage of
her absence and Shiva's loneliness a demon named Adi, who was
looking for an opportunity to kill Shiva and avenge his father's
death, disguised as Parvati and managed to enter into Shiva's
chamber. It took some time but Shiva identified the demon, and
soon killed him. Meanwhile by rigorous penance and with Brahma's
help Parvati was able to cast off her outer black sheath and from
inside emerged her golden form. Now Gauri - golden-hued, she came
back to Shiva. Gods, looking for a female form to kill Mahisha,
transformed with their luster this black sheath of Parvati into
Kali and after she had accomplished gods' errand Parvati banished
her to the region beyond Vindhya Mountain. Here she became known as Katyayani.

The Linga Purana contains yet another episode responsible for
Kali's origin. A demon named Daruka had a boon that no other than
a woman would kill him. In view of reports of his atrocities
reaching him, Shiva one day asked Parvati to kill him. Thereupon
Parvati entered into the body of Shiva and from the poison
contained in his throat transformed herself and re-appeared as
Kali. She gathered an army of flesh-eating Pishachas and with
their help destroyed Daruka. The Skanda Purana further expands
the legend. Kali did not stop destruction even after killing
Daruka. Intoxicated by consuming poison and demon's blood Kali,
uncontrollable as she was, went crazy and by her destructive
activities endangered cosmic equilibrium. Finally, Shiva
transformed himself as one of Kali's own forms and sucked from
Kali's breasts all poison after which she became quiet.

      Illustration: http://www.108shiva.com

Though in a different context, an identical tradition prevails in
South India. After defeating Shumbha and Nishumbha Kali retired
to a forest with her retinue of fierce companions and began
terrorizing surroundings and its inhabitants. A Shiva's devotee
went to him with petition to get the forest free of Kali's
terror. When Kali refused to oblige Shiva claiming that it was
her domain, Shiva asked her to compete him in dance to which Kali
agreed, though unable, or perhaps unwilling, to reach Shiva's
energy level she got defeated and left.

      Illustration: http://www.siddhiusa.com

Though insignificantly, Kali's origin has been linked also with
Sati, Shiva's first consort, and Sita, consort of Lord Rama.
Insulted by her father Daksha the infuriated Sati rubbed her nose
in anger and there appeared Kali. After conquering Ravana Rama
was returning to Ayodhya. On his way, it is said, he confronted a
monster that so much terrified Rama that in fear his blood froze.
Thereupon Sita transformed herself as Kali and defeated it.

      Kali : Appearance And Personality

Numerous are Kali's manifestations; however, her external
appearance, both in texts as well as art, basic nature and
overall personality do not vary much. In her usual form the
black-hued Kali is a terrible awe-inspiring divinity frightening
all by her appearance. Except that some of her body parts are
covered by her ornaments, she is invariably naked. An emaciated
figure with long disheveled hair and gruesome face, Kali has been
conceived with any number of arms from two to eighteen, and
sometimes even twenty or more, though her more usual form being
four-armed. The four arms are interpreted as symbolizing her
ability to operate into and command all four directions, that is,
the cosmos in aggregate. She has long sharp fangs, alike long
ugly nails, a fire-emitting third eye on her forehead, a lolling
tongue and blood-smeared mouth, which, when expanded, not only
swallows hordes of demons but its lower part extends to ocean's
depth and upper, beyond the sky. When required to lick blood
falling from a fleeing demon's body she extends her tongue to any
length and turns it faster than the wind in whichever direction the blood falls.

      Illustration: http://www.yogacraft.com

In her more usual iconography Kali carries in one of her four
hands an unsheathed sword - her instrument to overcome enemies
and command evils, in another, a severed demon head, and other
two are held in postures denotative of abhaya and varada -
fearlessness and benevolence. Sometimes, the severed head is
replaced with a skull-bowl filled with blood.

Abhaya is the essence of Kali's entire being. One of the
permanent dispositions of her mind, 'abhaya' is her assurance
against all fears which, embodied in her, are rendered
inoperative or to operate only as commanded. Denotative of her
boundless power to destroy, Kali's frightening aspect is her
power to dispel evil and wicked, and in this the freedom from
fear is re-assured. Kali's usual place is a battlefield where all
around lay scattered pools of blood, headless torsos, severed
heads, arms and other body-parts. When not in battlefield, Kali
roams around cremation ground where reigns death's silence except
when yelling winds, groans of wailing jackals or sound of
fluttering wings of vultures tearing corpses lying around break
it. Its abyssal darkness, which flames of pyres occasionally lit,
is what suits Kali most. In battlefield or otherwise, she walks
on foot. Except rarely when she borrows or forcibly takes Durga's
lion or Shiva's Nandi, Kali does not use a mount, an animal or
whatever, either to ride or to assist her in her battle. She
dances to destroy and under her dancing feet lay the corpse of
destruction. Standing or seated, she has under her a sprawling
ithyphallic corpse, not lotuses, the favorite seat of most other
deities. She stands upon nonexistence - the corpse of the ruined
universe, but which nonetheless contains the seed of new birth.

      Illustration: http://www.HINDUTEMPLEOFGEORGIA.ORG

In her imagery while the corpse represents non-existence or
ruined universe, Kali's figure engaged in union either with Shiva
or his Shava symbolize continuum of creative process. The
manifest universe is what veils Time but when Kali, the Power of
Time, has destroyed the manifest universe, that veil is lifted
and Time, and correspondingly Kali, the Power of Time, is
rendered naked, a phenomenon that Kali's naked form denotes.

By nature, Kali is always hungry and never sated. She laughs so
loud that all three worlds shake with terror. She dances madly
not merely trampling upon corpses but also on the live cosmos
reducing it to non-existence. She crushes, breaks, tramples upon
and burns her enemies or those of her devotees. Kali is not only
a deity of independent nature but is also indomitable, or rather
all dominating. She is Shiva-like powerful, unconventional and
more at home when dwelling on society's margins. Aspects of
nobility or elite life-mode are not her style of life. She is
Shiva's consort or companion but not Parvati-like meek and
humble. Herself wild and destructive, she incites Shiva to resort
to wild, dangerous and destructive behavior threatening stability
of cosmos. Every moment a warrior, Kali does not miss any
opportunity of war; She is one of Shiva's warriors in his battle against Tripura.

      Kali's Forms

Far more than in texts, a huge body of Kali's mythology has
evolved in Kali-related tradition. Apart that a rough-cut crude
image of Kali painted in black, and the tongue, in blood-red,
occupies a corner in every hamlet, even with a dozen hutments, it
also abounds in tales of her mysterious powers, both inflicting
damage and protecting from harm. More significant is her presence
in Indian art where she underlines many important Hindu themes.
What sometimes occur in texts as mere epithets of Kali are in
Indian arts her well established forms. Mahakali, Bhadrakali,
Dakshina Kali, Guhyakali, Shmashana Kali, Bhairavi,
Tripura-Bhairavi, Chamunda. are some of her more popular forms in
      texts as well as art.

In her Mahakali form, an equivalent to Mahakala, the all-powerful
aspect of Shiva, who devours time and effects dissolution, Kali
is Mahakala's feminine transform. In her form as Mahakali she
presides over the Great Dissolution which Shiva in the form of
      Shava symbolizes.

In art, Kali invariably enshrines it. Initially, as Mahakali her
role was confined to demon-slaying. In Puranas, while still
representing dissolution, destruction, death and decay, she more
emphatically personified in her being horror, awe and
loathsomeness. She still slew demons but mostly when summoned and
      in subordination.

In her form as Chamunda - the slayer of Chanda and Munda, she was
most ferocious multi-armed demon-killer. She carried in her hands
most deadly weapons and in her eyes a luster that burnt her enemies.

As Shmashana Kali, a form more popular in Tantrism, Kali haunts
cremation ground amidst burning pyres - the interim domain in
between this and the next world and where death and dissolution reign.

As Tripura-Bhairavi, consort of death, Kali is conceived with a
form wearing a large necklace of human bodies, a shorter one of
skulls, a girdle of severed hands, and ear-rings of the corpses
of infants. Around her lie a greater number of corpses and feed
on them wily jackals and vile vultures. Sometimes in loincloth,
Tripura-Bhairavi is more often covered in elephant skin and
      carries other Shaivite attributes.

Elaborately jeweled Dakshina Kali also wears a long necklace of
severed heads, a girdle of unusually small severed arms and a
couple of corpses as ear-rings, but instead of being gruesome her
figure comprises smooth perfectly proportioned fully exposed
youthful limbs. She stands on the body of a supine ithyphallic
Shiva stretched out on an already burning pyre in cremation
ground where scavenging birds hover and jackals roam. Dakshina
Kali carries in one of her hands a sword, in another, a human
head, and other two are held in abhaya and varada. Bhadra Kali,
the auspicious one, Kali's majestic, benign, benevolent and mild
form, has been conceived with arms varying in number usually two
to four. She often carries two bowls, one for wine and other for
blood. Kali's form that gods, even Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma,
worship is invariably her Bhadra Kali form. The delightful one,
she joyously drinks, dances and sings.

Guhyakali, literally meaning 'Secret Kali', is Kali's esoteric
aspect, which only those well versed in the Kali tradition know.

In the related 'Dhyana' - the form that reveals when meditating
on her, snakes constitute a significant part of her attire and
adornment. Her necklace, sacred thread, girdle, all are made of
serpents, and the thousand hooded serpent Ananta makes her
umbrella. Apart, her form assimilates other Shaivite attributes
to include crescent on her forehead. In visual representation,
instead of snakes' pre-eminence, Guhyakali is identified by the
      Kali-yantra invariably represented along with.

      Kali In Yoga And Tantra

Kali has quite significant place in Yoga and Tantra, though in
Yoga her status is not that high as in Tantra. Kundalini-sadhana,
kindling of Kundalini - dormant energy seen as black serpent that
lies coiled and asleep in the inner body, is the prevalent
practice in both but it is the very basis of Yoga. The Yoga
perceives Kali as Kundalini Shakti. Kali is thus the basis of
Yoga, though beyond such equation it does not involve Kali any
further. Tantra seeks its accomplishment in Ten Mahavidyas - the
Great Wisdoms, Kali, being the foremost among them, is the most
      significant deity of Tantra.

Kali's disruptive behavior, unkempt appearance, confronting
activities and involvement with death and defilement are what
better suit Tantra, especially the Vamachara Tantrism. Kali's
form that contains in an unclean or even unholy body-frame the
highest spiritual sanctity helps Tantrika to overcome the
conventional notion of clean and unclean, sacred and profane and
other dualistic concepts that lead to incorrect nature of
reality. Yogini-Tantra, Kamakhya Tantra and Nirvana-Tantra
venerate Kali as the supreme divinity and Nirvana-Tantra
perceives Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva as arising from Kali as arise
      bubbles from the sea.

To the Tantrika, Kali's black is symbolic of disintegration; as
all colors disappear in black, so merge into her all names and
forms. Density of blackness - massive, compact and unmixed,
represents Pure Consciousness. Kali as Digambari, garbed in
space - in her nakedness, free from all covering of illusion,
defines to the Tantrika the journey from the unreal to the real.
In full breasted Kali, symbolic of her ceaseless motherhood, the
Tantrika discovers her power to preserve. Her disheveled hair -
elokeshi, are symbolic of the curtain of death which surrounds
life with mystery. In her garland of fifty-two human heads, each
representing one of the fifty-two letters of Sanskrit alphabets,
the Tantrika perceives repository of power and knowledge. The
girdle of hands, the principal instrument to work, reveals her
power with which the cosmos operates and in her three eyes, its
three-aspected activity - creation, preservation and destruction.
Both Kali and Tantra are epitome of unity of apparent dualism. As
her terrifying image, the negative aspect of her being and thus
of the cosmos, is the creative life-force, the source of
creation, so in Tantra-sadhana, the journey takes off from the
'material' to the apex - the ultimate.

The Ancient secrets of " Chakra Therapy" By
Sri Sri Selvam " Siddhar" OF Hindu Temple of Georgia- USA

Chakras are centres of psychic energy located at points along the spinal cord. They are associated with the five elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. Each chakra corresponds to a specific mantra (sound) and geometric pattern (yantra). Through meditation on these chakras we can gain mastery over our body and each corresponding element.

The human organism is not just a physical composition or structure made of molecules but is also composed of energy fields. These energy fields or the centers of psychic energy are popularly known as chakras. There are seven major chakras which are situated along the spinal cord against the points of five major nerve plexuses and endocrine glands. These chakras are very important for energy balance and perfect synchronization of interior and exterior rhythms or HEF (human energy field) and UEF (universal energy field). Chakras are bioplasmic energy fields composed of ions, free protons and electrons. This state is distinct from four known states of matter i.e. solid, liquid, gases and plasma. Hence chakras are fifth state of matter. The energy field of these chakras can be measured by SQUID, EEG and kirlian photography. A normal developed and opened chakra always spins clockwise and gains pranic energy from UEF while counter-clockwise movement of a chakra makes energy flow out which makes a chakra closed, sick and abnormal.

In Chetna Therapy through constant practice of dhyan (meditation), mantra jap (mantra recitation) and darshan (visualization) one can rebalance the distorted energy system of chakras to be free from diseases. For example, in cancer the Manipur and Visudha chakras lose their protective sheath which can be cured by Chetna Therapy.

Muladhar chakra is a yellow square with four vermilion petals. The square represents earth element related to predominant sense smell and sense organ nose. This chakra governs spinal column and kidneys and effects the functioning of adrenal gland. A well balanced and strong Muladhar chakra gives a strong will to live while a weak and imbalanced chakra gives a tendency to suicide, violent behaviour, inferiority complex and feelings of insecurity. In polio and cerebral palsy this chakra bends towards the side of the healthy leg. Persons dominated by this chakra usually sleep on their stomach between ten to twelve hours daily. In Chetna therapy Muladhar chakra is aroused by chanting of the Bija mantra "Lam" 56 times. This should be followed by colour energy by covering the patient with yellow cloth.

The second chakra, Svadhisthana, is in the form of a circle with a crescent. The colour is light blue. It represents water element related to predominant sense of taste and sense organ tongue. This chakra controls kidneys, bladder, reproductive organs and large intestine of the body and gonad. It is very closely related to the quality of love and sex. If this chakra is normal the person enjoys mental and physical well being. If it is blocked the individual will be impotent with premature orgasm. In AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases Muladhar and Svadhisthana are clogged. Bladder diseases, enlarged prostrate, hydrocele are associated with this chakra. To arouse this chakra one should first of all concentrate on water or by gazing at the crescent moon for half on hour daily. Repetition of Bija mantra "Vam" 51 times daily definitely enhances sexual vigour and vitality. This chakra is also very closely related to the effectiveness of mental activities, attention, concentration and meditation. Keeping a picture of this chakra in front of you and concentrating on it elevates creative and sustaining energy in the individual and a feeling of peacefulness. A person with an active Svadhisthana chakra sleeps eight to ten hours in a foetal position, often pretends to be a prince or hero maintaining high self esteem. For proper functioning of this chakra one should keep fast on ekadashi (eleventh day of lunar month).

The third chakra, Manipur, is in the form of an inverted red triangle located in a circle of ten petals with a golden colour bijakshar (seed). It represents fire element related to predominant sense, sight and sense organ, eyes. This chakra controls liver, pancreas, stomach, spleen, gall bladder, small intestines and sympathetic nervous system. The proper functioning of this chakra is necessary for the digestion and absorption of food. Anger and frustration causes depletion of this chakra energy. Indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcer, gall bladder diseases are all associated with a malfunctioned Manipur chakra. Alcohol makes the chakra totally disfunctional. This chakra is also related to the emotional life of an individual. If the chakra is closed and not functioning harmoniously the person will have uncontrolled extremes of emotion which may result in hypertension and adrenal exhaustion. Many times this center acts as a block between heart and sexuality as the center related to health i.e. Anahata is above it and center related to sexuality i.e. Svadishthana is below. If both these chakras are functional and open but Manipur is blocked then a person's sexual life will be without emotional attachment and love and vice-versa. Repetition of Bija mantra "Ram" 108 times daily and wearing a string of rudraksh beads keeps the chakra in harmony and balance. Whenever a person is under heavy stress and tension a mere visualization on this chakra for 5-10 minutes with repetition of seed mantra will give immense soothing effect. Whenever concentrating on this chakra one should concentrate specially on the navel.

The fourth chakra, Anahata, the most important chakra of the body, is in the form of a hexagram of a grey-green colour surrounded by 12 vermilion petals with a golden bijakshara. It represents ailment associated with sense of touch and sense organ skin. Associated with cardiac plexus it controls functions of heart, lungs, thymus and blood circulation. Congestion in Anahata chakra causes heart problem and related diseases. Excess of pranic energy in this chakra causes heart attack. In this case the inner aura may extend up from 6" to 3 feet. Asthma is another example of the hypofunction of this chakra. Within Anahata chakra is an eight petaled lotus in the center of which rests the spiritual heart or anand kanda on the right side very closely related with the physical heart on the left. An increase or decrease in the rate of heart beat serves as a warning signal that there is some abnormality in the anand kanda. The fourth chakra has a lingam also known as banalingam. This lingam radiates golden light and is formed from a mass of tissue in the nerve center at the Anahata chakra clearly visible in kirlian photography. "Om", the unstricken cosmic sound is a wondrous treatment for all heart ailments. Patients can be tremendously benefited by the pure musical tones of "Om". This chakra is also a seat of balance within the body with three chakras above and three chakras below distributing a uniform energy flow in both the directions. The person with an active fourth chakra sleeps from 4 to 6 hours on his left side.

The fifth chakra, Vishudha, is in the form of a crescent of silver within a white circle surrounded by 16 golden petals. It deals with creative energy and sound in the body. It controls voice, oesophagus, vagus nerve, respiratory system, thyroid and parathyroid glands. It represents Akasha element associated with sense of hearing and sense organ ears. Blockage at this chakra causes dumbness, hypofunction of thyroid and sometimes difficulty in swallowing food and water. Sweet and melodious voice of singers is a virtue of harmonized Vishudha chakra. This chakra is also referred to as the professional center because if one is successful and satisfied with his job the center will be full blown. Fear of failure, competition and of not being liked blocks this chakra. Meditation on this chakra gives calmness, melodious voice, leadership traits, command of speech. The seed mantra of this chakra is "Ham", repetition of this mantra 101 times helps to normalize this chakra. Constant meditation on this chakra makes one youthful, free from old age wrinkles or aging defects. The person with active Vishudha chakra sleeps little, generally 6 hours, constantly changing sides.

The sixth chakra, Ajna chakra, is in the form of a white circle with two petals. It controls lower brain, left eye, nose and cerebellum and pineal gland. The seed sound is "Aum". Malfunction of this chakra causes confused mental concepts, mental retardedness and epilepsy. It is very difficult to reactivate this chakra if there is some abnormality because only yogis are able to meditate here and practically it is very difficult for any one to heal it. This chakra and pineal gland are affected directly by waning and waxing cycles of the moon as the Ida (left nostril) and Pingla (right nostril) operate in accordance with these cycles, hence only Pranayam can redistribute the disturbed energy cycle between Muladhara and this chakra.

The seventh and last chakra, Sahasrara, is in the form of a full moon. It controls pituitary gland, brain and right eye. This chakra is related to spirituality and unconscious conscious state. If this center is closed the person probably does not have cosmic feelings (samadhi) which is only associated with yogis. Hence the chakra is rarely used by the common individual.

There are seven major chakras in our body which have been identified with the following nerve plexuses.

Muladhar: in perineum sacrococcygeal nerve plexus
Svadhisthana: four fingers above lumbosacral nerve plexus
Manipur: opposite the umbilicus lumbar plexus
Anahata: over the 6th thorasic spine cardiac plexus
Vishudha: opposite the larynx laryngeal plexus
Ajna: opposite glabella, cerebellum and its lobes
Sahasrara: between third ventricle & pituitary.

      Cool

There are some events in life that we have no control over and there are some others over which we can exercise some degree of influence by using our Free will. I can tell you what lies ahead and show you how to use this effectively to improve your quality of life.

With a knowledge of astrology, you can know the good and not so good trends for Love, Money, Health, Career, Business, Travel and everything else. You can know which are the careers you will be successful in.

How you use this information or not depends on your free will. I can tell you that you'll be successful in certain professions, but I cannot say which one you will take up, that is your prerogative and astrology does not take your free will away from you.

I can tell you a day when you will have more success than usual with the opposite sex but if you prefer spending the weekend watching old reruns at home, I cannot help you there. You've exercised your free will in your own way. If you had called up someone who was playing hard to get you could have had major success.

Also, any success is limited to your own chart. I can give you days when you will be able to make money on the stock market but you may not necessarily make millions of dollars because it may not be written in your chart. Nevertheless you will make money or you will have fewer losses than you might otherwise have.

Every report I write also includes a detailed character analysis. This will give you an insight into your own personality, You can know the traits in your personality that you can use to your advantage and the traits that you need to correct.
